Outreach Ministries

Elizabeth Ministry
The Elizabeth Ministry is women helping women and their families during joys, trials and sorrows.  We do this by providing meals for families. If interested in providing a meal for a family with a new baby, contact Emily Thurner at 715-864-3048.  You may be called once or twice a year to provide a meal.  If you need or know someone who would benefit from Elizabeth ministry, please contact us.  We do have a mailbox at St. Mary’s, please feel free to leave a note.

Our mission is to cherish children, encourage families and build community.

Prayer of Elizabeth Ministry
Creator God, I pledge to truly celebrate

the gift of each child conceived and born,
and fully mourn each miscarriage and infant or child death.
I will be a strong witness to my belief
in the dignity and worth of all life,
by treasuring the gift of fertility,
by assisting those suffering infertility,
by encouraging those in the adoption process,
and by supporting the families experiencing
an infant or child crisis.
I will be strong and consistent voice for life
in my home, my parish, my community, and the world.

Communion to the Homebound
We have over 100 parishioners in over 12 local nursing homes, many of whom are unable to leave to attend Mass. Be part of the team that brings Jesus to our homebound parishioners or parishioners in nursing homes! Contact the parish office for more information and training at 715-855-1294.

Prayer Chain
Do you have a gift for prayer? Commit to praying for our parish and our congregation, especially in their times of need. Contact Janet Fox at 715-529-1587.

Befrienders
Spend time visiting parishioners who are lonely and isolated, either at home or in nursing homes. Most of them would just love to sit with you and talk! Contact the parish office for more information at 715-855-1294.
