St Mary’s Elementary School has been educating students since 1907, with the present building constructed in October 1965. Currently, St. Mary’s school is part of the Regis Catholic Schools, in cooperation with 5 other area parishes. We serve preschoolers through Grade 5. The school staff consists of licensed teachers, as well as support staff.
Father Wilger was the face of St. Mary’s school for nearly 40 years. He always taught the children to be kind, honest, and dependable–personal qualities that are needed throughout a lifetime.
Father Greg Bohren continues the tradition of weekly visits to each classroom, teaching the students the importance of living their Catholic Faith.
Regis Catholic Schools
St Mary’s Elementary School is part of the Regis Catholic Schools system. Regis Catholic Schools consist of three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school located in Eau Claire and Altoona, Wisconsin. Approximately 800 students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade are enrolled in these schools across the system.
Our Catholic schools proudly continue a strong tradition of academic and co-curricular excellence with a focus on leadership and service that has been an important part of the Eau Claire area for more than 100 years. Our Catholic identity invites young people to make their faith a living, and conscious part of their daily lives – preparing them for leadership in the Church and the world.
With the leadership of skilled and dedicated staff, Regis Catholic Schools offers a highly personal educational experience with strong relationships between students and faculty. Our students are inspired to surpass their own expectations. We accomplish this with rigor and responsibility. We offer a demanding and interactive academic program where students of all abilities are challenged to fulfill their unique potential and given opportunities to pursue their own specific interests. Our teachers measure their own success by the success of their students.
